LONG ISLAND

Long Island is 11 kilometres long and just over one kilometre wide. The island boasts 20 kilometres of bushwalking tracks, among the best in the Whitsundays. The three resorts on Long Island each provide a different experience. Young and old, families and couples, honeymooners... accommodation ranges from budget, to exclusive beachfront rooms... it's difficult not to enjoy Long Island.

Long Island is part of the Molle Islands National Park. Originally called Port Molle, (YET ANOTHER MOLLE?) the island was renamed (equally unimaginitively) Long Island by explorer Matthew Flinders.

Long Island is considered one of the most beautiful Whitsunday Islands. The whole island is a national park, with kilometres upon kilometre of fantastic walking tracks and beautiful palm fringed secluded beaches.
