DAY ONE:

Let's get this show on the road with a bit of bungy jumping. That ought to get the heart pumping!

Did you know that in Cairns you can find the original bungy jumping company? A.J. Hackett is the man credited with the idea of modern bungy jumping. And ever since he established his first site in New Zealand, his jumps have been getting better and better.

A.J. Hackett's 'jump menu' is extensive and the more jumps you try the more thrilling they will get. So let's make it here and start these five days of non-stop adrenaline burning seeing the city from another angle.

The 50 metre high Cairns Bungy Tower dominates the pristine jungle with its powerful presence, situated 15 kilometres north of Cairns, surrounded by lush tropical rainforest. For over ten years, this tower of power has been the ultimate altar on which to sacrifice one's fear. Hundreds of thousands of people from just about every nation on earth have made the pilgrimage to this Bungy Mecca. The Cairns tower is probably the most spectacular bungy site in the world, with a man-made pool of water beneath the jump, and panoramic views of Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef coastline.

After your bungy jump, why don't you keep the adrenaline going and try the MINJIN JUNGLE SWING? Legend has it that the Minjin used to roam these hill-slopes in the slender body of a mountain devil, a vicious cat-like creature....Today it roars in the shape of the Jungle Swing, at speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour.

Do this one solo or with one or two of your mates. Side-by-side, lying flat in a hanging harness, you will be attached to the swing via two karabinas. You will then be winched up to 45 metres high. From this height you will have fantastic views of the Great Barrier Reef and Yorkeys Knob. From there, you are in control of your own destiny as we provide you with a self-release mechanism. This allows you to pull a cord that will start the biggest swing of your life! You will swing in an arching pendulum until gravity stops you - what an adrenalin rush! It is an experience that will leave you wanting more... or maybe wanting a bathroom!
