How to treat the inlaws

Yes the inlaws have invaded Cairns, and spend their days drinking beer and eating chorizo. They have also taken a liking to our swimming pool, as you can see.

Don’t they look happy and relaxed? Do you remember the last time you felt really happy and relaxed? Didn;t someone surely come along and stuff everything up for you? Funny how that happens…. click on the photo to see what I mean :)

Steve-Speaking of drinking beer…..remember when I hosted you in Eagle River Alaska and took you out to that little bar and then tipped a few in the back yard. Send pics of your family. When can I come swim in your pool? Looks awesome!!! Take care-Lisa

    Hi Andy,

Yes, that certainly seems like a lifetime ago, and there has barely been a dull moment. This is definitely a paradise, but I wish we had more time to enjoy it instead of working all the time. I hope things are going well for you. Do you still have your ferrets?

Robin, thanks for the good wishes. We are house hunting at the moment, so I may have the opportunity to impress Maria with some of the renovating skills I learnt in Chercos.

Lisa, it’s not often that I meet a girl who enjoys a cold beer as much as I do. I remember very well your sunny backyard and that rough bar you took me to! Are you still in Alaska?

Hey !! how r u doing mate? Now you have the whole family together !! Loved the link with the pics in the pool. Maybe next time I can do it by myself if my two girls allow me to go for a while. Say hi to Maria and our common friends from the “casas de ….”. And merry xtmas and happy new year to all !!! And you r right, you never know what next year will bring. Best for you and the growing family. Enjoy.

Guillermo, you will be very welcome, and it will be a good excuse for me to show you around some of the ’special’ places in Cairns. If you leave your two girls at home, you can be sure I will have at least two girls lined up for you here.

Don’t tell Natalia I said that or she will overcome her fear of flying just to come here and beat me up.

Happy Christmas to you and yours.

    Hasta Luego, amigo mio!!
